Tata Curvv EV SeriesX has been launched in India with two new long-range variants, starting at Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom), offering a certified claimed range of 502 km and a lifetime high-voltage battery warranty. The key update is straightforward: buyers now get a clearer variant structure with the same battery and range across trims which directly impacts buying decisions in the mid-size electric SUV segment. The SeriesX lineup includes the Accomplished X 55 and Empowered X 55, both built on Tata’s acti.ev platform and designed to balance range, features along with everyday usability.
| Variant | Ex-Showroom Price |
| Accomplished X 55 | Rs 16.99 Lakh |
| Empowered X 55 | Rs 19.19 lakh |
| Empowered X 55 #DARK | Rs 19.49 lakh |
Battery, Range And Performance Numbers
Both variants use a 55 kWh battery pack and deliver an ARAI-certified range of 502 km. In practical terms, Tata Motors states a real-world range of around 400
km under typical driving conditions.
Power output stands at 167 hp with 215 Nm of torque which remains consistent across the lineup. This setup is aimed at providing usable performance for both city driving and highway use, rather than focusing on outright acceleration figures.
For buyers, the distinction between certified and real-world range is important. While 500 km is the headline number, the 400 km estimate is closer to what can be expected in daily usage.
Variant Split And Feature Differences
The Accomplished X 55, priced at Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom), covers core features such as a panoramic sunroof, dual 26.03 cm displays for infotainment and instrumentation, wireless smartphone connectivity and a 360-degree camera system with blind-spot view. It also includes ventilated seats, leatherette upholstery and rear sunshades.
The Empowered X 55, priced at Rs 19.19 lakh (Rs 19.49 lakh for the #DARK edition), adds a larger 31.24 cm touchscreen, JBL 9-speaker audio system, Level 2 ADAS with 20 functions, a powered driver seat, reclining rear seats and a gesture-controlled tailgate.
This split makes the difference between variants feature-based rather than mechanical, since both share the same battery and powertrain.

What This Means For Buyers
The SeriesX update is about simplifying choice. Instead of multiple overlapping variants, buyers now choose between two clearly defined trims with the same range and performance.
What this really means is the decision shifts to features and budget, not battery size or driving range. The lifetime battery warranty, defined as up to 15 years for the first owner, adds a long-term ownership angle that many EV buyers consider before purchase.
For Indian buyers, especially those planning intercity travel, the combination of a 502 km certified range and a realistic 400 km usable range addresses range anxiety while keeping expectations grounded.
