Tata Motors has pulled the covers off the all-new Sierra ahead of its official debut on November 25, 2025. The SUV marks the return of a nameplate that once defined Indian roads in the 1990s. The 2025 Sierra carries
forward the signature upright stance of the original, with cleaner surfaces and sharper detailing. Up front, it features a continuous LED light strip connecting the slim headlamp units, framed by a dark grille section carrying the Sierra badge. The bumper houses a wide silver skid plate, giving the SUV a purposeful road presence without being overdone.
From the side, the Sierra maintains its square profile but adopts a more contemporary layout with five doors instead of three. The flush-type door handles, large glass area, and gloss-black cladding around the wheel arches lend a premium touch. The multi-spoke diamond-cut alloys, expected to be 19 inches, further emphasise its road stance. Tata has also retained a subtle reference to the old Sierra’s trademark rear window design by finishing the roof and C-pillar in contrasting black.

At the rear, the new Sierra keeps things tidy with a full-width LED tail-light bar, a neatly integrated roof spoiler, and a sculpted bumper finished in dual tones. The overall design feels mature and well-proportioned.
Inside, Tata has given the Sierra one of its most advanced cabins yet. The dashboard features three 12.3-inch screens, one each for the driver, infotainment system, and front passenger. The centre console follows a layout similar to the latest Harrier, with an electronic parking brake, rotary gear selector, and wireless charging pad. Features such as ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are expected to be offered.

Powertrain options will include a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 160 bhp and 280 Nm, as well as Tata’s familiar 2.0-litre diesel engine developing 170 PS and 350 Nm. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will be available. An electric version is also in the pipeline, likely offering around 450–500 km of range.
