Mahindra has officially launched the XUV 7XO in India at a starting price of Rs 13.66 lakh (ex-showroom). This car aims to attract buyers who want comfort, performance, safety, and futuristic technology
all in one package.
Bookings for the Mahindra XUV 7XO begin on January 14 and deliveries also start the same day. Mahindra calls this SUV a game-changer, and for good reason as it introduces five world-first and India-first technologies in an internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle.

Technology
The XUV 7XO becomes the world’s first SUV with the DAVINCI suspension system which is designed to improve ride comfort and handling on all kinds of roads. It is also India’s first ICE Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) which means the car’s features can improve over time through software updates, much like a smartphone.
Another major highlight is the coast-to-coast triple screen setup, offered across all variants. This includes three large HD displays that stretch across the dashboard which gives a very futuristic feel to the cabin. Mahindra has also introduced India’s first integrated Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos experience in an ICE SUV. Adding to safety, it gets Level 2 ADAS with dynamic visualisation, which helps drivers understand what the car “sees” on the road.
Comfort
From the inside, the XUV 7XO focuses heavily on comfort as it offers 6-way powered front seats, including a powered co-driver seat with Boss Mode, allowing rear passengers to adjust it for more legroom. Both front and rear ventilated seats are first-in-segment which keeps occupants cool even in hot weather.
Other comfort features include soft-touch leatherette interiors, multi-zone ambient lighting, wireless chargers with cooling, dual-zone automatic climate control, acoustic solar windscreen and retractable rear sunshades.
Design
On the outside, the XUV 7XO looks bold and premium with a new piano black grille, jewel-like accents, Bi-LED headlamps, diamond-cut 19-inch alloy wheels, electric smart door handles and a large Skyroof™ sunroof.
Tech lovers will also love the features like 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio, Alexa with ChatGPT integration, theatre mode, BYOD connectivity, 93 connected car features via the Adrenox app and a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset running the system.
Performance and Safety
The XUV 7XO is powered by strong engines like 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel, paired with manual or automatic gearboxes. The petrol version can sprint from 0-60 km/h in under 5 seconds, while all-wheel drive and multiple drive modes make it capable on highways and rough roads.
Safety is another strong point, with over 120 safety features, 7 airbags, a 540-degree surround view camera, driver drowsiness alert, and Level 2 ADAS with 17 advanced functions. Mahindra says it is engineered for a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating.
The Mahindra XUV 7XO brings luxury-car technology into a more accessible SUV segment. It represents how Indian cars are moving towards smarter, safer and more premium experiences without losing performance or practicality.
