Hero MotoCorp has launched the Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 in India, priced at Rs 86,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the drum brake variant. The disc brake variant is priced at Rs 90,000 (ex-showroom). The update brings a revised claimed fuel efficiency of 72 kmpl — up from 68 kmpl on the outgoing model — along with hazard lights and cosmetic changes. The engine and core hardware remain unchanged. The bike sits on Hero's shared 125cc platform, which also underpins the Glamour, Glamour X and Xtreme 125R.
What Has Actually Changed on the XTEC 2.0
This is a feature and styling refresh, not a mechanical overhaul. Here's what's new:
- Claimed mileage is now 72 kmpl, up from 68 kmpl on the previous XTEC.
- Hero attributes this to the Advanced Programmed Fuel Injection (APFI) system and the i3S idle stop-start technology — both of which were already present on the older model.
- Hazard lights have been added for the first time on the Super Splendor lineup — a practical safety addition that was previously missing.
- USB Type-C charging port is now standard.
- The fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, call/SMS alerts, phone battery indication and real-time mileage display carries over from the previous version.
- Cosmetic updates include dual-tone graphics, XTEC 2.0 badging, a 3D emblem, rim tapes and a stitched dual-textured seat.
- Five colour options on offer: Glossy Black, Candy Blazing Red, Matt Axis Grey, Matt Nexus Blue and Matt Chestnut Brown.
- An Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) ensures quieter engine starts.
Specs, Pricing and Who Should Consider It
The mechanical package is unchanged from the current Hero Super Splendor XTEC:
- Engine: 124.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected
- Power: 10.7 PS at 7,500 rpm
- Torque: 10.6 Nm at 6,000 rpm
- Claimed mileage: 72 kmpl (ARAI figure — real-world numbers will vary by city and riding conditions)

- Disc variant: Rs 90,000 (ex-showroom Delhi)
