Effective September 22, 2025, Honda Cars India has revised the ex-showroom prices of its Amaze, City, and Elevate models in response to the GST 2.0 reforms. The company is passing the full benefit of reduced
GST rates to customers, leading to price drops ranging from about Rs 41,000 to Rs 1.20 lakh, depending on model and variant. The Amaze sees steepest cuts, especially in the higher trims, bringing many of its variants under Rs 10 lakh. Similarly, the Elevate and City have had adjustments across multiple trims and transmission options. These moves coincide with the start of the festive season, positioning Honda to attract buyers with stronger price value across these models.

What GST 2.0 Reform Changed
In the new tax regime, small cars (less than 4 metres in length with a petrol engine) and specific categories of engines attract an 18% GST rate, much lower than the combined rates previously applicable (GST plus cess). The reduction in taxes leads to savings for customers that Honda is now factoring into its prices. Honda said it is passing on fully the benefit of tax reduction to customers rather than keeping some for itself.

What It Means For Buyers And Market
Recent changes put Honda’s Amaze, City, and Elevate right back into strong consideration within their respective segments. Buyers get more value at higher trims than ever before—better cars, better prices. Dealers are already counting on a good swing in business because of improved affordability for the festive season. Buyers must remember to look at local ex-showroom prices as these may still vary anywhere due to state taxes and levies.
