Mahindra is all set to launch its all electric 7 seater SUV ‘XEV 9S’ at world premiere on November 27, 2025, at its much-awaited ‘Scream Electric’ event in Bengaluru. This launch will also mark the first
anniversary of Mahindra’s electric revolution.
The Mahindra XEV 9S isn’t just another electric SUV, but it is the company’s first-ever authentic 7-seater EV, which is built entirely on Mahindra’s advanced INGLO skateboard platform. This “born-electric” foundation means the vehicle has been designed as an EV from the ground up, unlike many models that are simply adapted from petrol or diesel versions.
The biggest strength of the INGLO platform is its flat-floor design. This allows Mahindra engineers to create a roomy and flexible cabin, which is ideal for large families. Expect features like sliding second-row seats, generous legroom and a premium, lounge-like seating layout.
Mahindra hasn’t revealed all the technical specs yet, but the XEV 9S is expected to offer strong performance, quick acceleration, comfort and long-range capability, features that have already become hallmarks of Mahindra’s INGLO-based electric SUVs. Due to its low centre of gravity, courtesy of the battery placement under the floor, the SUV should deliver superior stability and handling, even on curvy roads.
The brand describes the XEV 9S as being “for those who live large, travel together, and refuse to compromise.” That means it is not just about transporting people, but about making space for your life, passions and adventures.
The ‘Scream Electric’ event will celebrate one year since Mahindra introduced its first electric SUVs and will serve as a showcase of what’s next for the company’s INGLO platform.
With the XEV 9S, Mahindra is clearly signaling its intent to dominate not just the EV space, but the premium 7-seater family SUV market as well.
If Mahindra’s previous EVs were a promise, the XEV 9S looks like the fulfillment of that promise which is bigger, bolder and electric in every sense. For Indian families looking to make the switch to electric without giving up on space, power, or comfort, the XEV 9S could be the game-changer they’ve been waiting for.
