Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Engine Specifications
Powering the Himalayan 450 is a 452cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder DOHC engine that produces 40.02 PS at 8000 rpm and 40 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. The engine uses a 42mm throttle body with a ride-by-wire system for smoother throttle response. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch, which reduces effort during gear shifts. The engine runs on semi-synthetic 10W40 oil and features a semi-dry sump lubrication setup for better cooling and efficiency. Its ARAI certigied mileage of 30 km/l.

The bike is built on a strong steel twin-spar tubular frame. Suspension duties are handled by a 43mm upside-down front fork with 200mm travel and a linkage-type monoshock at the rear, also offering 200mm travel. This setup gives the Himalayan excellent off-road capability while maintaining comfort on rough roads.
