Kia has pulled the wraps off the 2027 Telluride at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and the big SUV is returning with a far more dominating look than before. The nose is where the biggest visual shift happens. The grille is taller and wider, and now flows right into the headlights for a cleaner, squared-off face.
Each trim gets its own personality: the SXP goes glossy with vertical slats, while the XRT uses a black mesh treatment that drops down the bumper. Kia has also injected sharper creases into the fenders and added a flatter, longer hood. With the floating roof and thicker cladding around the arches, the silhouette now carries a faint whiff of Range Rover.

The lighting setup is all-new, too, with vertical signatures at both ends and fresh eight-spoke wheels, including a cross-pattern design for higher trims. Meanwhile, the X-Pro gets bright orange recovery hooks. Dimensionally, the Telluride has grown. A 2.7-inch wheelbase stretch and a slight increase in overall length free up even more space inside. Cargo volume now stands at 22.3 litres with all seats up and climbs to a cavernous 86.9 litres with both rear rows folded.
Step inside, and the updates feel even more substantial. Kia has moved to a full-width dual-screen setup, with two 12.3-inch displays running Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. Real wood, metal trims, and new two-tone seats improve the cabin ambience, while fresh colour themes, including Deep Navy and Blackberry.

Under the hood, Kia has dropped the familiar 3.8-litre V6 in favour of two four-cylinder options. The standard 2.5-litre turbo makes 274 hp and 421 Nm, paired with an eight-speed automatic. The hybrid setup goes even further, combining the same engine with an electric motor for 329 hp and 459 Nm through a six-speed automatic. Interestingly, a Telluride test mule was recently spotted in India. Kia hasn’t confirmed anything yet, but with the brand pushing deeper into the premium space, the 2027 Telluride could very well arrive as its new flagship.
