Honda has pulled the wraps off its latest creation at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show: the Outlier EV Concept. This futuristic machine is Honda’s bold vision of what motorcycles could look like beyond 2030, and it’s easily one of the wildest things on display this year.
Right off the bat, the Outlier looks like it’s come straight out of a sci-fi movie. The design screams “future”, with a long wheelbase, sleek aerodynamic panels, and an overall stance that fuses a cruiser’s comfort with an electric superbike’s aggression. There’s even a transparent front cowl covering the headlight and forks, adding to its space-age vibe.

Honda’s gone all in on comfort, too. The Outlier features a relaxed riding position with a wide handlebar, forward-set footpegs, and even a backrest; yes, on a concept bike! The seat itself is single-piece, with lateral and rear supports that hug the rider, almost like a futuristic lounge chair on two wheels. But the real magic lies underneath.
The Outlier runs a dual-motor setup, one in each wheel, giving it an all-wheel-drive system. Riders can adjust torque distribution between the front and rear motors, which means you can send more power to the front while climbing hills for better grip, or to the rear for more punchy acceleration. Because the motors are inside the wheels, Honda’s freed up space in the middle for a large battery pack and advanced electronics.

There’s a massive TFT display that shows speed, lean angle, battery stats, and even projects the rear-view camera feed. It also offers Bluetooth connectivity and other futuristic touches you’d expect from a 2030-ready machine.
