Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is one of the most talked-about new bikes from Royal Enfield, and for good reason. It brings a fresh idea to the brand which is something more urban, more compact, and easier to ride daily. Priced at Rs 2,49,194 (ex-showroom), this motorcycle is aimed at riders who want power but don’t want a big, heavy adventure bike.
What Is the Guerrilla 450?
The Guerrilla 450 is a road-focused version of the Himalayan 450. Both share the same base, called the Sherpa 450 platform, but their purpose is different. While the Himalayan is built for off-road and long-distance travel, the Guerrilla is made mainly for city roads and smooth highways. It is lighter, sharper, and easier to handle in traffic.
Engine And Performance
The Guerrilla
450 comes with a 452cc liquid-cooled engine. This is a big step for Royal Enfield, as older models were mostly air-cooled. It produces around 40 PS of power and 40 Nm of torque.
This Means the bike feels strong and quick without being difficult to control. The 6-speed gearbox and slip-and-assist clutch make gear changes smoother and lighter, especially in traffic.
Ride And Handling
Unlike older Royal Enfield bikes that feel heavy, the Guerrilla feels more agile. It weighs around 185 kg, which is lighter for this segment. The 780 mm seat height makes it easy for most riders to sit comfortably. It uses telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock suspension, tuned more for city riding. The wide tyres (120 front and 160 rear) give better grip and confidence while cornering.

Features
The Guerrilla 450 is also more modern than many people expect from Royal Enfield. Higher variants come with a 4-inch TFT display that supports Google Maps navigation, music control, and phone connectivity. This is called the Tripper TFT display.
It also offers two ride modes - Performance and Eco. You can switch between them depending on whether you want more power or better mileage. All variants get dual-channel ABS for safety, along with full LED lighting for better visibility.
Variants
There are three versions of the bike. The base “Analogue” variant keeps things simple with a basic display. The “Dash” variant adds the TFT screen and better color options. The top “Flash” variant gets the full tech package and premium finish.
Mileage And Practical Use
The bike offers around 29.5 kmpl, which is decent for a 450cc motorcycle. The 11-litre fuel tank means it is more suited for city rides than very long highway journeys. The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is not trying to replace older models. It is creating a new space. It is for riders who want Royal Enfield style but with modern performance and everyday usability.
