KTM’s upcoming sports bike, the RC 160, has started arriving at dealerships across India even before its official launch. The RC series is known for its sporty looks and energetic performance and now, KTM is preparing to bring these qualities to a more affordable and beginner-friendly segment.
A New Entry In KTM’s Line-Up
KTM earlier launched the 160 Duke in October 2025, which marks the company’s shift into the entry-level motorcycle market. As soon as that bike arrived, many expected that a fully-faired RC version would follow, but freshly leaked images and walkaround videos now confirm that the KTM RC 160 is real, ready and already on dealership floors.

RC Styling
The RC series is KTM’s “racing-style” family, which is known for sharp body panels, aerodynamic design and a tucked-in riding posture and the RC 160 continues this tradition. The RC 160 looks almost identical to the larger RC 200 and this is a strategy KTM often uses to give its smaller bikes a premium feel. The RC 160 gets a sleek LED headlight, integrated LED DRLs and indicators, a translucent windshield to deflect wind when riding fast and fairing-mounted mirrors for a sporty look. The only obvious difference is the personalized “RC 160” badge and the familiar “Ready To Race” KTM graphics.
Features
Despite being sporty, KTM has kept the RC 160 practical for everyday use as it gets an LCD instrument console with Bluetooth instead of the costlier TFT screen, premium switchgear similar to KTM’s higher models and clip-on handlebars and rear-set footpegs which gives a mildly aggressive but manageable riding stance.
Performance and Engine Details
Powering the RC 160 is the same 164.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine from the 160 Duke. It produces 19 PS power, 15.5 Nm torque with a 6-speed gearbox. These numbers place the RC 160 comfortably above most 150–160cc rivals.
For anyone wanting a stylish, performance-oriented bike without jumping into the high-power segment, the KTM RC 160 could become a popular choice. With its premium design, familiar KTM DNA and accessible engine size, it aims to attract young riders and anyone buying their first sports bike. KTM is expected to announce the official price and launch date soon. But with the bike already at dealerships, the wait may not be long.
