For decades, Royal Enfield has been one of India’s most loved motorcycle brands and two of its most popular models which are ‘Bullet 350’ and ‘Classic 350’, look similar at first glance, but they offer
very different experience for riders.
What is similar?
Both the heritage motorcycles use the same 349cc J-series engine, which produces 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm of torque, along with a 5-speed gearbox. This means the power, smoothness and basic riding feel are the same. Both are built on the same platform that offers a thumpy but refined exhaust sound and are suitable for daily city rides as well as relaxed weekend cruising.
The Difference
Bullet 350 is old-school and tough as it stays true to its raw, traditional look. It gets a single-piece long seat, jagged, squared-off rear mudguard, taller handlebar offering a relaxed posture and classic hand-painted pinstripes on some variants. It feels simple, rugged and more "old-fashioned" and many riders love it for this original charm.
The Classic 350 on the other hand takes the same formula but adds a more polished touch. It gets round rear fender, split-seat setup with optional pillion seat, knee pads on the fuel tank, more colour choices, LED headlamp on some variants and semi-digital console and optional Tripper navigation.
Features And Tech Difference
| Feature | Bullet 350 | Classic 350 |
| Instrument Cluster | Basic analogue | Semi-digital |
| Navigation | No | Optional Tripper pod |
| ABS | Std. single-channel (dual available) | Both single & dual-channel options |
| Wheels | Spoke only | Spoke + alloy (higher variants) |
The Bullet is slightly lighter at 191 kg, with a more upright riding stance, whereas the Classic, at 195 kg, feels more planted and stable during cornering due to its revised build.
Fuel Efficiency
The Bullet offers slightly better mileage at around 38 kmpl, while the Classic delivers 30-37 kmpl due to weight and features.
Price
The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 starts at Rs 1,62,161 (ex-showroom), whereas the Classic 350 starts at Rs 1,81,118 (ex-showroom). The Classic costs more due to its premium fit, finish and added features.
