Hyundai has announced that it sold 51,902 units domestically in April 2026, exhibiting a 17% year-on-year growth over 44,374 units sold in the same month last year. On the export front, however, the company experienced a decline of 16.41%, with sales dropping to 13,708 units from 16,400 units in 2025. Despite this dip, the company’s overall sales increased by 7.96% to 65,610 units, marking an increase from 60,774 units sold a year ago. Hyundai’s steady growth across most segments reflects continued customer trust and strong demand in the Indian market. The brand credits this momentum to its recent product updates and launches, with models like the new Exter, Verna, Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift, and Hyundai Creta (including the Summer Edition).
Hyundai Venue Emerged As Key Contributor to Success
The
all-new Venue, which was launched in India in November last year, was the major contributor to Hyundai's success in April. Post its makeover, the new Venue looks more aggressive from the front, with a dark chrome radiator grille, and a full-width LED light bar across the bonnet. It gets squared-off wheel arches, sharper body lines, newly-designed alloy wheels, a new rear quarter glass panel, and an aerodynamic spoiler with an LED high-mounted stop lamp.
The cabin of the updated Venue is adorned in a dual-tone Dark Navy and Dove Grey colour scheme. It is equipped with 2-step reclining rear seats, a three-spoke steering wheel with illuminated markers, an electrically adjustable driver seat, and a curved 12.3-inch dual display. As for the safety, the new iteration of Venue comes with a Level-2 ADAS.
