Mahindra has finally launched the XUV 7XO in India. The variant options include AX, AX 3, AX5, AX7, AX7T and AX7L. Mahindra has positioned the XUV 7XO with a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 13.66 lakh
for the petrol variant, while entry-level diesel versions are priced from Rs 14.96 lakh. The range-topping AX7L diesel with a manual gearbox carries an introductory ex-showroom tag of Rs 22.47 lakh, limited to the first 40,000 buyers. Meanwhile, the AX7 diesel-manual variant is priced at Rs 18.95 lakh (ex-showroom).
Pre-bookings for the XUV 7XO are currently underway, while the bookings start on January 14. Mahindra has confirmed that deliveries of the AX7, AX7T and AX7L variants will commence from January 14, while the AX, AX3 and AX5 trims are scheduled to reach customers starting April 2026.

Mahindra XUV 7XO: Design Details
The exterior design is marked by 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, motorised flush door handles, a wide grille, piano-black cladding, diamond-pattern LED taillamps, a panoramic Skyroof sunroof, and distinctive exposed ice-cube style fog lamps with integrated cornering functionality.
Mahindra XUV 7XO: Powertrain Setup
Under the hood, the SUV will be offered with two engine options: a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine unit rated at 197 bhp and 380 Nm, and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel unit producing 182 bhp with up to 450 Nm of torque. Both 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque-converter automatic gearboxes are on offer.
Mahindra XUV 7XO: Features
The standout features include 31.24 cm HD triple screens, 6-way powered driver seat with memory and welcome retract, intelli command centre, dual-zone fully-automatic temperature control, Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), and a 540-degree camera with digital video recording.
Mahindra claims the XUV 7XO will be the first vehicle in India to integrate Alexa and ChatGPT. This setup is intended to deliver enhanced voice-based interaction, allowing more intuitive, hands-free control and information access inside the cabin. It is also India's first SUV with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
According to Mahindra, the DAVINCI damper setup is engineered to improve overall ride and handling without compromising cabin refinement. The automaker also says this suspension system allows the XUV 7XO to maintain segment-low noise levels, regardless of whether it is running the petrol or diesel engine.
Mahindra XUV 7XO: Safety Tech
As far as safety is concerned, the model comes packed with a suite of over 75 features. These include adaptive cruise control, drowsinessdetection, walk away lock/approach unlock, digital video recording, advanced crash detection, a 540-degree camera, 7 airbags, lane centering function, and ADAS Level 2 functions with Sense+. The brand also highlights a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating for the XUV 7XO.

Mahindra XUV 7XO: Market Rivals
From a segment standpoint, the XUV 7XO will enter a space currently occupied by models like the Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, Toyota Innova Hycross, MG Hector Plus and Maruti Suzuki Invicto, all of which it will directly challenge.
