The refreshed model continues to sit in the executive luxury segment, positioned between the 3 Series and flagship 7 Series, and competes with rivals like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Audi A6. The latest update focuses on expanded equipment rather than pricing changes and includes both comfort and technology enhancements designed to broaden appeal for buyers seeking a feature-rich, premium sedan.

BMW 5 Series LWB: Panoramic Glassroof Sky Lounge Added
One of the key changes in
the updated BMW 5 Series LWB is the introduction of the Panoramic Glassroof Sky Lounge. This new panoramic glass panel spans a large portion of the roof and integrates LED lighting that works in tandem with the car’s ambient lighting system to create different visual effects. The printed pattern and lighting elements are visible even during daytime, contributing to a more open and airy cabin feel.
BMW 5 Series LWB: Driving Assistant Plus Enhancements
BMW has also expanded the 5 Series LWB’s safety and driver assistance suite by adding Driving Assistant Plus. This package brings additional active safety features beyond the standard equipment, supporting semi-automated driving functions and enhancing overall safety. The update reflects BMW’s focus on increasing driver aid technologies in its flagship models, without a change in vehicle pricing.

Despite the new equipment, the 5 Series LWB remains unchanged in price at Rs 73.35 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. It continues to be offered in the 530Li M Sport specification, maintaining the same pricing structure as before the update. No new variants have been added with this update, and the model lineup remains focused on this single long-wheelbase petrol variant.
