India’s electric scooter market is moving fast, and Ola Electric has just made a strong move with its latest launch - the Ola S1 X+ 5.2 kWh variant. Priced at Rs 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom), this new model is aimed at buyers who want more range, better performance, and modern technology in one package.
This is not just another scooter update.
The S1 X+ 5.2 kWh comes with Ola’s new in-house developed “4680 Bharat Cell.” This move is important because it allows the company to control quality, improve performance, and reduce costs in the long run. It also shows that India is slowly building its own EV technology instead of depending on imports.
One of the biggest highlights of this scooter is its claimed range of 320 km on a single charge. For everyday
users, this means fewer charging stops and more convenience. The S1 X+ is powered by an 11 kW motor. This helps the scooter reach a top speed of 125 kmph, which is quite high for an electric scooter.
Ola has added features like Brake-by-Wire and front disc brakes. These systems improve braking response and control. In simple words, the scooter can stop more smoothly and safely. At Rs 1.29 lakh, the S1 X+ 5.2 kWh is positioned as a value-for-money product, especially considering its range and performance. However, this is an introductory price and may increase after April 15, 2026.

This pricing strategy shows Ola’s plan to bring long-range electric scooters to more people, not just premium buyers. The Ola S1 X+ sits within a larger range of scooters offered by Ola. The company already sells multiple versions under the S1 lineup, catering to both budget and premium buyers.
This new variant bridges the gap by offering high range at a relatively accessible price. The S1 X+ 5.2 kWh is easy to understand. It offers long range, strong performance, and modern features without being overly complicated.
It also shows how fast EV technology is improving in India. With better batteries and longer range, electric scooters are becoming more practical for daily use. In simple terms, this scooter is about going farther, charging less often, and making electric mobility easier for everyone.
