Range Rover has taken vehicle personalisation to a whole new level by introducing a stunning mirror-finish paint option for its Bespoke models. This new hand-finished paint process is designed for customers who want their luxury SUV to look absolutely flawless, with a deep, glass-like shine that reflects light almost like a mirror.
Paint quality is not just about colour, but it is also about how smooth and glossy the surface looks. With this new mirror-finish process, Range Rover aims to deliver one of the most refined exterior finishes ever seen on a production vehicle. This paint option is now available on Bespoke versions of the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, as long as the customer chooses a gloss paint finish.
According to the company,
this new technique makes the surface about 25 percent smoother compared to earlier methods. The result is a more even, richer shine that looks premium from every angle, especially under bright light.

The process starts with a thicker top-coat lacquer than what was previously used. This extra layer allows specialists to work more deeply on the surface without damaging the paint underneath. Once applied, the vehicle goes through extended sanding and polishing, all done entirely by hand.
Each car spends nearly three days in this detailed process. During the final stage, around 15 microns of lacquer, which is thinner than a human hair and is carefully removed to make the surface perfectly smooth. A special wave scan reader is then used to detect even the smallest imperfections, ensuring the finish meets Range Rover’s new high standards.
To support this complex craftsmanship, Range Rover expanded its Bespoke paint facilities in 2025. Dedicated paint booths are now reserved only for these highly customised vehicles. What makes this process special is that the same team of skilled artisans works on a vehicle from start to finish, maintaining consistency and attention to detail.
These upgraded facilities also prepare Range Rover for future innovations, including even more complex colours and finishes. Range Rover’s Bespoke programme is about complete personalisation. Customers can request custom paint colours, match-to-sample shades, unique leather interiors, special stitching, embroidery, and exclusive wheel designs.
Vehicles can be commissioned through Range Rover Houses worldwide or dedicated Bespoke studios, including a new one in Antwerp. Demand for such personalised vehicles has been rising, with several limited-edition and one-off models already completed.
Martin Limpert, Global Managing Director of Range Rover, explained that this new mirror-finish paint represents the brand’s core philosophy. He said it reflects refined craftsmanship, extreme precision, and a deep personal connection between the customer and their vehicle.
