The upcoming Honda City facelift is already making strong headlines ahead of its launch in India on May 22, 2026. While the existing users of the City sedan are curious to know what the new version will offer more, the interested buyers are waiting to see whether Honda will finally give its long-standing sedan the kind of makeover and premium features it needs to stay relevant in the SUV-dominated market. It is anticipated that the facelift will gain several new features already offered on the SUV sibling, the Elevate. In terms of design, the exterior could see a revised grille, slimmer LED headlamps and new alloy wheels. But the biggest talking point will be the interior, wherein the City Facelift is expected to receive a major technology and comfort
upgrade to sail smoothly in the among the rivals such as the Hyundai Verna and Volkswagen Virtus. Here are five major features the Honda City facelift could borrow from the Elevate.
A Larger 10.25-inch HD Touchscreen Infotainment System
The current sedan’s 8-inch infotainment setup is dated compared to its rivals. As part of the mid-life cycle update, the facelifted City could get a larger freestanding touchscreen, similar to the unit seen on the Elevate.
Honda could introduce a sharper and more responsive display with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. This addition will enable the City sedan to draw attention of young and first-time car buyers who want everything premium.
Advanced ADAS
The current City already offers Honda Sensing ADAS technology, but the facelift may refine the system using updates from the Elevate. Possible features to be added include adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, collision mitigation braking and auto high beam.
360-Degree Camera
A feature many sedan buyers now demand is a 360-degree camera. Honda is likely to finally add this feature to the updated City. The Elevate already offers this feature, which makes urban parking and tight manoeuvres significantly easier.

Fully Digital Driver Display
Another feature that the sedan could borrow from its SUV sibling is a larger digital instrument cluster. The current-gen model offers a semi-digital setup, but rivals have now moved to more modern displays with richer graphics and customisation options.
The addition could help the sedan in providing a more contemporary cabin experience.
A New Dashboard Layout
Honda may also add new upholstery, soft materials and a revised dashboard layout inspired by the Elevate. It is also anticipated to offer Ventilated front seats on the Facelift.
