Skoda Auto India has added a new variant to its sedan lineup with the Skoda Slavia Sportline. This version sits between the mid and top models, giving buyers a more stylish option without paying for the most expensive trim.
Priced at Rs 13.49 lakh for the manual and Rs 14.55 lakh for the automatic (ex-showroom), the Sportline is aimed at those who want a premium sedan with a sporty feel at a reasonable price.
Sporty Design
The first thing you notice about the Slavia Sportline is its design. Instead of chrome, this version uses a blacked-out theme across the car. It gets a black front grille, black alloy wheels, black mirrors, and even a black roof for a dual-tone look. The LED tail lamps are slightly darkened, adding to the overall sporty appearance.
This design approach gives the car a sharper and more youthful look, especially compared to the standard Slavia.
Interior
Inside the cabin, the Sportline continues with the same theme. You get an all-black interior, which looks neat and simple. There are sporty touches like aluminum pedals and ambient lighting, along with practical features such as an electric sunroof. The seats are comfortable and designed for daily use.
The car also comes with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making it easy to connect your phone. However, it misses out on some premium features like ventilated seats and a fully digital instrument cluster, which are available in higher variants.
Engine Options
The Slavia Sportline offers two petrol engine choices, giving buyers flexibility based on their driving style. The 1.0L TSI engine is suitable for city use, offering a good balance of power and fuel efficiency. It comes with both manual and automatic options.
For those who want more performance, there is the 1.5L TSI engine, which delivers higher power and comes with a DSG automatic gearbox. This engine is better suited for highway driving and quick acceleration. The Sportline is also the most affordable way to get this more powerful engine in the Slavia range.

Safety
Safety is one of the key strengths of Slavia. The car comes with a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating, which is reassuring for families. It includes important features like six airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold control, tyre pressure monitoring system, and a rear-view camera. These features help make driving safer and more controlled.
Space And Practicality
The Slavia is known for its spacious cabin, and the Sportline keeps that advantage. It offers good legroom and headroom for passengers, along with a large 521-litre boot, which is useful for long trips or family use. With a ground clearance of 179 mm, the car can handle Indian roads without much trouble.
The Skoda Slavia Sportline is a practical choice for buyers who want a sedan that looks sporty but still focuses on everyday usability. It offers the right mix of design, performance, and safety without pushing the price too high.
