Nissan Motor India has reported a sharp rise in sales for March 2026 as the company recorded total sales of 10,388 units, with domestic wholesales at 4,408 units, which marks 98% growth compared to February 2026 and the highest monthly domestic sales in the last five years.
New Gravite Leads The Charge
The biggest reason behind this jump is the launch of the all-new Nissan Gravite. Customer deliveries of this SUV began in March and according to the company the response has been strong.
The Gravite is the first of three new models planned under Nissan’s “India Resurgence” strategy. This plan focuses on bringing fresh products to attract more buyers and rebuild the brand’s position in India. With SUVs becoming the most popular choice among Indian
buyers, the Gravite enters a highly competitive but fast-growing segment.
Magnite Continues To Support Growth
Along with the new Gravite, the Nissan Magnite continues to perform steadily. It has been one of Nissan’s most successful models in India, known for offering good features at an affordable price. The combination of a new SUV and an already popular model has helped Nissan improve its sales numbers quickly.
Exports Remain Strong
Out of the total 10,388 units sold in March, exports contributed 5,980 units. This shows that Nissan is not only focusing on India but also using the country as a base for global markets. Exports play an important role for companies like Nissan, as they help maintain production volumes and improve overall business stability.
Nissan’s performance shows that new products always matter. When a company launches a fresh and appealing vehicle, it can quickly attract attention and boost sales. SUVs continue to dominate buyer interest, and brands are focusing more on this segment.

Strengthening The Network
Nissan is also working on improving its sales and service network. A strong network means better customer experience, easier access to showrooms and reliable after-sales support. This is important for building trust, especially for buyers considering a brand that is rebuilding its presence.
Nissan’s 98% month-on-month growth is a strong signal that the company is entering a new phase in India. With the Gravite now on the roads and more products planned, the brand is aiming for steady growth.
Nissan Motor India’s March 2026 performance shows how a single product can change the momentum for a company. The strong response to the Gravite, along with the steady demand for the Magnite, has given Nissan a solid start to its next phase.
