Kia has officially revealed the new-generation 2026 Seltos in India and the excitement is very high among SUV enthusiasts. Prices will be announced on January 2, 2026, while bookings have already started from last night at Rs 25000. Kia also confirmed that global production of this second-generation model will start in India in December 2025.
Built on Kia’s new K3 platform, the Seltos has grown bigger and more stylish, as it now measures 4,460mm in length and looks wider and sharper from every angle. The SUV gets a completely new front design with a wider grille, square-shaped headlamps and vertical LED DRLs.
The sides feature flush door handles, thicker body cladding and a sporty window line. At the rear, the number plate moves to the bumper,
while new inverted L-shaped LED tail lamps stretch across the width. Higher variants get 18-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, and a more premium finish overall.
Engine Options
For different types of drivers, the 2026 Seltos comes with three engine choices:
- 1.5L Petrol (113.4 bhp, 144 Nm)
- 1.5L Turbo-Petrol (157.8 bhp, 253 Nm)
- 1.5L Diesel (114.4 bhp, 250 Nm)

Variant Line
The 2026 Seltos comes in 8 variants- HTE, HTE(O), HTK, HTK(O), HTX, HTX(A), GTX, and GTX(A). An optional X-Line pack is also available for the top variants.
HTE
The HTE variant comes with premium-looking LED headlamps and DRLs, along with stylish LED tail lamps and 16-inch steel wheels. It also gets silver skid plates, a shark fin antenna and a rear spoiler, giving it a modern appearance. Inside, the Smoky Black & Grey interior creates a clean and simple look. You get useful features like manual height adjustment for the driver seat, a 12-inch LCD cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay and 6 speakers. Convenience features include cruise control, keyless entry, all power windows, LED cabin lights and manual AC with rear AC vents. Safety and utility features include electric adjust ORVMs, aero wipers and a dual horn.
HTE (O)
The HTE (O) builds on the HTE by adding more style and practicality. It gets stylish 16-inch steel wheels, connected LED tail lamps and glossy black roof rails. Inside, the seats are upgraded to semi-leatherette, and the rear now gets a split-folding 60:40 seat, a centre armrest with cupholders and three adjustable rear headrests. Extra convenience comes through one-touch up/down for the driver window and seatback pockets. Automatic variants also get advanced features such as an electric parking brake with auto hold, traction modes (sand/mud/snow), drive modes and paddle shifters.
HTK
The HTK variant adds more stylish and tech-friendly upgrades. It comes with 17-inch Crystal Cut alloy wheels (except G1.5 MT), auto-folding ORVMs, a hidden rear wiper and a rear defogger. The HTK also offers a smart key with push-button start, proximity unlock and rear sunshade curtains. The steering wheel now adjusts for both tilt and telescopic functions. These features make the HTK feel more modern and convenient.
HTK (O)
The HTK (O) makes the Seltos feel more premium. It includes leatherette seats, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, LED reading lights and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Sporty alloy pedals and front parking sensors add more appeal. Convenience is improved with wireless charging. In automatic versions, it also gets ventilated front seats and an 8-way powered driver seat with relaxation mode.
HTX
The HTX variant stands out with bold styling and high-tech features. It gets satin silver skid plates, a glossy grille, LED fog lamps and silver-accented door garnishes. Inside, the new Brown & Grey interior with neon green highlights gives a premium vibe, along with leatherette dashboard and door trims. The highlight here is the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, Kia Connect 2.0, OTA software updates and an auto-dimming IRVM with Kia controls. Comfort improves with dual-zone automatic climate control, front ventilated seats and an 8-speaker Bose sound system. Automatic variants get an 8-way power driver seat with relaxation mode.
HTX (A)
The HTX (A) variant adds advanced technology and safety. It gets the Trinity Panoramic Display, which includes a 12.3-inch HD digital instrument cluster. Safety is boosted with ADAS Level 2, offering 21 autonomous driving features, and side parking sensors are added for easier manoeuvring in tight spaces.
GTX
The GTX brings sportier design elements, such as LED projection headlamps with dynamic welcome function, dark gunmetal grille accents, gloss black bumpers and large 18-inch sporty alloy wheels. GT-Line variants also get neon brake calipers. Inside, there’s a sporty black-and-white interior with GT-Line styling. Comfort improves with a 10-way powered driver seat with lumbar support, memory function, auto reverse ORVMs and a welcome retract feature. This variant focuses on performance, style and premium cabin experience.
GTX (A)
The GTX (A) model enhances the GTX further with a Trinity Panoramic Display, giving you a wide dual-screen layout and a 12.3-inch HD digital cluster. You also get ADAS Level 2 with 21 autonomous features, making it one of the safest and most high-tech variants in the lineup. Side parking sensors add extra convenience.
X-Line Styling Pack
The X-Line pack offers the most exclusive styling upgrades. It includes glossy black skid plates, dark gunmetal door accents and 18-inch black alloy wheels for a stealthy look. Inside, you get a premium Hunter Green and Black theme with satin metal accents and special leatherette upholstery. This pack comes with two exclusive exterior colours: Matte Graphite and Aurora Black Pearl. This is the top choice for those who want a bold, distinctive and premium-looking Seltos.
