Maruti Suzuki India Limited which is India’s largest carmaker, has set a new record, as it sold a total of 2,20,894 vehicles in October 2025 and marked its highest-ever monthly sales in history. This achievement highlights the continued dominance of Maruti Suzuki in India’s fast-growing automobile market, driven by strong demand across hatchbacks, SUVs and exports.
Out of the total, domestic sales hit an all-time high of 1,80,675 units, which shows how strong the demand is within India. Maruti Suzuki also exported 31,304 vehicles and sold 8,915 units to other OEMs (original equipment manufacturers), who use Maruti’s cars under different brand names.
This record-breaking monthly sales demonstrates how the company has managed to balance both local
and global demand despite rising competition from Tata Motors, Hyundai and Mahindra in the SUV and electric vehicle space.

The Mini and Compact car segments, which include popular models like the Alto, S-Presso, Baleno, Swift, WagonR, Dzire and Ignis continued to attract Indian families and city commuters, as together, these models recorded 85,210 units, up from 76,635 units in October last year.
In the utility vehicle (SUV) segment, Maruti Suzuki achieved another strong performance with 77,571 units sold. This includes favourites like Brezza, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Ertiga, Invicto, Jimny and XL6. SUVs have become the fastest-growing category in India and Maruti’s expanding lineup helped it stay ahead in the competition.
Meanwhile, the Eeco van also delivered good numbers, selling 13,537 units, proving that Maruti’s simple and practical vehicles still have a loyal customer base, especially among small business owners.
Maruti Suzuki’s exports touched 31,304 units, slightly lower than last year’s 33,168 units. The brand’s Super Carry light commercial vehicle also contributed 4,357 units, delivering steady demand from small-scale delivery and logistics businesses.
The festive season post GST 2.0, spanning Navratri and Diwali, clearly boosted customer confidence and buying sentiment. Maruti Suzuki’s success reflects a broader trend of recovery and growth in India’s automotive market, which has bounced back after pandemic slowdowns and supply chain issues.
With this new sales record, Maruti Suzuki has once again proven that it remains India’s go-to car brand which is trusted for affordability, reliability and fuel efficiency. As the company looks ahead, it is expected to focus on expanding its SUV and hybrid vehicle lineup, preparing to face growing competition in the electric vehicle space.
