The price of the new Kia Seltos is set to be announced in India tomorrow, January 2, 2026. This marks the arrival of the second-generation Seltos in the Indian market after its global debut. Production has already commenced at Kia’s Anantapur manufacturing facility, indicating readiness for deliveries soon after launch. The upcoming Seltos brings notable changes across design, interior layout, features and powertrain options. Positioned in the mid-size SUV segment, it will continue to take on established rivals while building on the model’s strong sales track record in India.

New Kia Seltos: Design And Exterior Updates
The new Seltos adopts a sharper and more
upright design compared to the outgoing model. It features a revised front fascia with a wider grille, vertically stacked LED headlamps and updated DRL signatures. The rear also gets redesigned LED tail-lamps connected by a light bar. Overall proportions have been tweaked slightly, giving the SUV a more squared-off and robust stance on the road.
New Kia Seltos: Interior Layout
Inside, the new Seltos gets a reworked dashboard layout with a strong focus on digital interfaces. It features a large integrated screen setup for the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. Material quality and fit-finish have been improved over the previous generation. Cabin space is marginally better, especially for rear-seat occupants, due to the updated platform.
New Kia Seltos: Engine And Transmission
The new Kia Seltos will continue with three engine choices, similar to the outgoing model. The range starts with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that delivers 113bhp and 144Nm of torque. Above this sits a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol GDi unit producing 158bhp and 253Nm. A six-speed manual gearbox is offered as standard, with the NA petrol paired with a CVT, while the turbo-petrol gets the option of a six-speed iMT or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Diesel buyers get a 1.5-litre engine rated at 118bhp and 260Nm, available with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox.

The Kia Seltos packs an extensive list of features focused on comfort, connectivity and safety. It gets automatic climate control with independent temperature zones, a Bose audio system, advanced driver assistance functions at Level 2, a panoramic glass roof and a head-up display. Additional highlights include connected car technology, customisable ambient lighting, a rear bench with recline function and all-LED exterior lighting. Safety provisions are standard across variants, with six airbags, ABS paired with EBD, electronic stability control and hill-start assist included as part of the base equipment.
