Mahindra has launched a special edition model of its Thar Roxx SUV at a starting price of Rs 16.85 lakh ex-showroom. The highlights of the Thar Roxx 'Star Edition' include a Citrine Yellow exterior colour and visual updates on the outside and inside. More importantly, Mahindra has announced the special edition Roxx exclusively in the rear-wheel drive (RWD) format. Here are all the details about the Roxx Star Edition (Star EDN).
The Thar Roxx Star EDN offers the SUV's fans a bit of extra exclusivity with several custom touches. It gets a piano black grille, piano black 19-inch alloy wheels, black leatherette upholstery on the inside with suede leather accents and more. The Star EDN also gets special badging placed on the C-pillar, near the rear
door handle and for those who want to really stand out, the Citrine Yellow colour option is also available.
While Mahindra has launched the Roxx Star EDN in RWD only, it still gets the option of both petrol and diesel engines along with a 6-speed manual transmission (diesel-only) or a 6-speed torque converter automatic (petrol and diesel). It remains to be seen how the fans of the Thar Roxx 4x4 react to not getting the option of a Star EDN.
Prices for the 2026 Mahindra Thar Roxx Star EDN start from Rs 16.85 lakh for the diesel manual, goes up to Rs 17.85 lakh for the petrol automatic and Rs 18.35 lakh for the diesel automatic. All prices mentioned are on ex-showroom basis. For comparison, the Roxx Star EDN diesel manual is priced at a premium of Rs 36,000, when compared to the MX5 diesel manual RWD and offers several add-ons such as the bigger sunroof, premium audio, dual screens and more.

Explanding on the major feature highlights, the Roxx Star EDN include cruise control, panoramic sunroof, front ventilated seats, LED headlamps, fog lamps and tail lamps, along with the 10.24-inch driver information display and touchscreen. It also gets a 360-degree camera and the 9-speaker Harmon Kardon audio system.
