Hero MotoCorp has launched the HF Deluxe Flex Fuel in India at an ex-showroom (Delhi) price of Rs 72,792. The launch comes alongside the debut of the Splendor+ Flex Fuel, and it was attended by Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, and Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas. The Deluxe Flex Fuel adds to the popularity of the most affordable and widely used commuter currently on sale. It is particularly significant because the HF Deluxe and Splendor+ both account for nearly one out of every three motorcycles on the Indian streets, according to Hero. As fuel prices continue to remain a concern for commuters post fuel price hike, Hero believes flex-fuel technology can offer a cleaner and more viable mobility
solution in the years ahead.
Hero HF Deluxe Flex Fuel: Engine
The HF Deluxe Flex Fuel uses a 97.2cc single-cylinder engine that develops 8.44hp at 8,000rpm and 8.3Nm at 6,000 rpm when running on E85 fuel. The motorcycle can support ethanol blends from E20 to E85. Hero says the use of E85 fuel can also unlock performance benefits. Compared to the standard version, the flex-fuel variant has up to 7% more power and 3% more torque. Hero has made a spectrum of important changes to enable the Deluxe run higher ethanol blends. These include an upgraded fuel pump, an additional fuel filter, and smarter engine management software that automatically optimises fuel injection based on the blend being used.
Hero HF Flex Fuel: Eco-Upgrade And What Buyers Need to Know
Though flex-fuel technology is the headline attraction, the environmental gains are also worth noticing in the most recent launches of the Splendor and Deluxe. According to Hero MotoCorp, the HF Deluxe Flex Fuel produces considerably lower emissions than its petrol counterpart, helping reduce the motorcycle's overall carbon footprint.
Hero Flex Fuel: Same Design, Refreshed Graphics
The core design remains unchanged, but to keep its identity unique, the new Hero Flex Fuel gets Black and Lime Yellow graphics. It also packs a redesigned digi-analogue instrument console, tubeless tyres, and a side-stand engine cut-off system.
