Lamborghini has confirmed a July 1 reveal date for an updated Urus, teased through a shadowy social media post showing a reworked rear end. The bigger news buried in that announcement: this single new model will replace the current Urus S, Performante and SE altogether, consolidating three variants into one. For Indian buyers, that matters because the Urus is already sold here at a starting price of Rs 4.57 crore, and a lineup simplification usually comes with a fresh price structure too.
The reasoning ties back to Lamborghini's broader push toward electrification. Both the brand's Revuelto supercar and the smaller Temerario are plug-in hybrids and the company wants the Urus to follow that pattern with a single hybrid model rather than maintaining
separate combustion and electrified variants side by side. Spy shots over the past year have repeatedly shown a camouflaged prototype borrowing styling cues from the current Performante which is reportedly the variant influencing this new model's character most directly.
A new chapter is taking shape.

What Changes Can You Expect on This New Urus?
Going by the teaser and prior prototype sightings, expect SE-style daytime running lights, larger air intakes, a ducktail spoiler and revised front and rear lighting units alongside likely interior updates. The engine is expected to remain the familiar 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 currently rated at 789 hp and 950 Nm in the outgoing Urus SE, with reports suggesting this new version could push power even higher though Lamborghini hasn't confirmed exact figures yet. If true, that would make it the most powerful Urus to reach production.
What Does This Mean for Buyers in India?
Currently, the Urus SE is the only variant on sale in India priced from Rs 4.57 crore (ex-showroom) with a waiting period that's stretched to around a year. Since this update is positioned as a direct replacement rather than an additional variant, existing Urus SE buyers shouldn't expect the current model to stick around much longer once the new one is unveiled. Anyone currently in the queue for a Urus or considering booking one, may want to wait for July 1 details before finalising anything since pricing and specification changes typically follow within months of a global reveal like this.
