This is the second major fuel-related rumour that has circulated in India following the previous claims of shortages of petrol, diesel, and LPG. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas had to step in that time to clarify that there is no shortage of these fuels, and the supplies across the country are 'fully secure and under control.' Even state-run oil companies, such as IOCL, BPCL urged the public to avoid panic buying and ignore misleading information. The fuel stations are well-stocked and no rationing has been instructed as of now.

At a time when global supply chain disruptions and geopolitical tensions continue to build uncertainty in markets, the stability of fuel supply and prices in India comes as a reassurance for buyers. Despite these external pressures, petrol prices in New Delhi remain steady at Rs 94.77 per litre, while diesel is priced at Rs 87.67 per litre.
Fuel prices in India have always been an area of concern for the general public. It is because the hike in prices of petrol or diesel directly impact their transportation costs, leading to the higher expenses. While the prices remain stable as of now, the chances of them increasing at a higher percentage continue to be one of the biggest concern for people. That said, there is no official reports on the price hike for petrol and diesel yet.
