Maruti Suzuki has introduced a new Star Edition package for the Eeco van in India at a price of Rs 20,000. The package carries a total of 18 accessories, which are estimated to have a combine worth of Rs 37,000. This means that the newly introduced Star Edition package on the Eeco will now allow interested customers to save about 45% on the accessories, compared to purchasing each of them individually. While the standard Eeco price in India starts at Rs 5.21 lakh, the Star Edition package is available with the 5-seater AC and CNG variants, which are priced starting at Rs 5.54 lakh, and Rs 6.36 lakh, respectively. Maruti Suzuki Eeco Star Edition Engine
Mechanically, the Eeco remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by the 1.2-litre, naturally-aspirated 4-cylinder engine that churns out a maximum power of 80hp and a peak torque of 105Nm, and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. While running on CNG, the same unit produces 70hp and 95Nm. The petrol variant offers a fuel efficiency of approximately 19.71km/l, while the S-CNG variant delivers an impressive 26.78km/kg.
In India, the Eeco dominates the van segment under Rs 6 lakh for passenger and commercial requirements.
