Inside, the convertible gets Mini’s updated cabin architecture featuring a circular OLED touchscreen at the centre, redesigned toggle switches and a simplified dashboard layout. The model includes dual-zone climate control, wireless smartphone connectivity, a premium audio system and multiple upholstery options. Space remains similar to the hard-top version, with seating for four and a compact boot that adjusts depending on whether the roof is up or folded.
Mini Cooper S Convertible: Engine, Performance And Dynamics
Powering the new Cooper S Convertible is a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 204 hp and 300 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Mini claims a 0-100 km/h time of around 6.9 seconds. Mini Cooper S Convertible: Price And Market Positioning
Priced at Rs 58.50 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Cooper S Convertible is positioned as a niche, lifestyle-oriented offering within the Indian luxury car space. Deliveries are expected to begin soon, depending on allocation and dealership availability.
Mini’s plans for a fully electric future suggest this could be the last open-top model running a combustion engine. That gives the Cooper S Convertible a distinct place as the concluding chapter of Mini’s long-running ICE convertible lineage.
