It’s only been a few months since Kawasaki launched the heavily updated 2025 Z900 with revised styling, better features, and improved equipment. Now, the Japanese brand has rolled out the 2026 iteration
of its popular streetfighter in India, though this time, the updates are purely cosmetic.
For 2026, the Z900 gets two new colour options: Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Grey with Metallic Flat Spark Black, and Candy Lime Green with Metallic Carbon Grey. Beyond these new shades, everything else remains unchanged. The 2026 Z900 continues to be powered by the same 948cc inline-four engine that produces 124 hp and 97.4 Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox and a bidirectional quickshifter.

The feature list is carried over too, with a 5-inch TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, IMU-based traction and wheelie control, and four riding modes, all introduced with the 2025 update. The suspension and chassis setup remain the same, ensuring that the Z900 continues to deliver the sharp yet forgiving handling it’s known for.
The only small downside is the price bump. The new Z900 is now priced at Rs 9,99,000 (ex-showroom), around Rs 47,000 higher than the 2025 version. This increase likely stems from the revised GST 2.0 structure that has pushed up prices for motorcycles above 350cc.

In essence, the 2026 Z900 is the same streetfighter enthusiasts love: powerful, refined, and visually striking. The new colours add a bit of freshness without disturbing the core package that made it so popular. While some might have expected more updates this time, Kawasaki seems confident that the Z900’s proven formula doesn’t need much tinkering.
