At a time when prices seem to rise every day, Tesla has made owning an electric car a little easier on the pocket. The company has introduced new Standard base variants of its popular Model 3 sedan and Model Y
SUV which offers simpler versions at much lower cost.
The Model 3 Standard now starts at $38,630 (Rs 34,29,592), while the Model Y Standard is priced at $41,630 (36,95,934), making them about $5,000–$5,500 (Rs 4,43,902 - Rs 4,88,293) cheaper than the previous entry-level trims. These new versions have a few premium features for a more budget-friendly price, but still keep Tesla’s signature electric performance, futuristic design, and long run range.
Both cars share the same 69.5 kWh battery, offering up to 321 miles (516 km) of range on standard 18-inch wheels and around 303 miles (487 km) on optional 19-inch wheels. They also support fast charging up to 225 kW, which keeps road trips convenient and quick.

The Model Y Standard has seen a few design modifications as it now has a cleaner look with integrated headlights, smaller 18-inch wheels for a smoother ride and limited color options which are gray, black or white. From the inside, you will find a simpler but still modern cabin. Some premium features like ventilated seats and the glass roof have been replaced with cost-saving alternatives, but the large 15.4-inch touchscreen remains at the front and center.

The Model 3 Standard looks very similar to its Premium sibling as keeping most of its style intact. It also uses the same single rear motor which produces 286 horsepower and reaches 0–60 mph in about 5.8 seconds.
Tesla has also changed its “Long Range” naming system which is now called as “Premium,” while “Performance” models stay on top of the lineup. For anyone who dreams of owning a Tesla but is held back by price, these new Standard variants make owning one more reachable.
