Tata Motors is gearing up to add more EVs to its portfolio. Although the exact launch timelines aren't confirmed yet, the homegrown automaker has announced that several new electric vehicles are on the way. One of the most important of these is the Sierra EV, which is set to debut on June 30, 2026. These upcoming Tata electric cars will target different price segments. Here's a closer look at these upcoming EVs in India.
Tata Sierra EV
Expected Price: Rs 18 lakh - Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom)
The Tata Sierra EV, consistently getting teased, will be the first electric offering in the list to go on sale in India. The EV is set to be revealed by the end of the month. It will feature multiple battery pack choices, most probably from the Harrier EV (65kWh and 75kWh).
It will sit on Tata's Acti.ev architecture and could offer a range of over 500 kilometres. The Sierra EV is likely to rival the Mahindra BE 6 and Hyundai Creta Electric.
Tata Avinya
Expected Price: Rs 40 lakh - Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom)
The Avinya will debut Tata's premium and luxury brand. The first e-SUV under this brand is expected to go on sale by the end of this year. Similar to the Avinya X Concept that debuted at the Auto Expo in 2025, the production car will have futuristic appeal. Key details may include a coupe-like roofline, sleek T-shaped DRLs, sharply angled rear windshield. It is expected to offer spacious interiors, fast-charging capability, and premium features aimed at buyers looking beyond conventional electric SUVs.
Tata Safari EV
Expected Price: Rs 22 lakh - Rs 30 lakh
The Tata Safari EV is expected to debut around the festive season as the brand's flagship three-row electric SUV. Based on the Acti.ev+ platform, it is likely to share its battery pack, powertrain options and possible AWD setup with the Harrier EV. Some of the expected features of the upcoming Tata EV may include Level 2+ ADAS, OTA updates, V2L functionality, and a large touchscreen. The car is reported to have six- or seven-seat configurations, which will make it the automaker's first all-electric family SUV.
