Ducati has announced a recall for some of its popular middleweight performance motorcycles, which are the Panigale V2 and the Streetfighter V2. The recall has been issued due to a potential issue related
to the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), which could (in rare situations) increase the risk of wheel lock-up during braking.
ABS is a crucial safety system that helps prevent wheels from locking when you brake hard, especially on slippery roads. It allows the rider to maintain control and stability, which makes it an important feature on modern motorcycles.
According to official recall documents released by Ducati North America, some 2025 and 2026 model-year Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 motorcycles may have been fitted with incorrectly installed fuses during assembly.

The issue involves two different fuses inside the ABS system- a 25-amp fuse meant for the ABS pump and a 10-amp fuse meant for the ABS control unit. Due to a supplier-related assembly error, these two fuses along with their holders, may have been swapped. While this might sound like a small issue, it can affect how the ABS works.
If the fuses are swapped, the smaller 10-amp fuse may blow under certain riding conditions. If that happens, the ABS pump may stop working and without the ABS pump, the motorcycle could lose ABS support during braking, increasing the chances of wheel lock-up, especially during sudden or emergency braking.
Riders might notice warning signs such as an “ABS Error” message or an ABS warning light glowing on the instrument cluster. Ducati stresses that the issue does not affect all motorcycles, but those impacted should be inspected as soon as possible.
2025 Ducati Panigale V2 which were manufactured between February 4 and May 23, 2025, and 2025-2026 Ducati Streetfighter V2 which were manufactured between March 31 and June 12, 2025, are affected. Motorcycles built after June 13, 2025, have already been checked at the factory and are not part of this recall and in total, around 1,016 motorcycles are affected, which accounts for roughly 1.2 percent of production.
Ducati North America will inform its dealer network about the recall between December 15 and December 22, 2025. Owners of affected motorcycles will be asked to contact their nearest authorised Ducati dealership and dealers will inspect the ABS fuse setup and if the fuses are found to be incorrectly installed, they will replace or reposition them free of charge. No cost will be passed on to customers.
If you own a Panigale V2 or Streetfighter V2 from the affected production period, it’s best to watch for ABS warning lights or error messages, contact your authorised Ducati dealer once recall notifications begin and avoid aggressive braking until the inspection is completed.
