The Ducati Monster has been at the core of the brand’s naked line up which the 2026 iteration is taking forward with a new engine, improved hardware, and a revised design. We see in this version a more

2026 Ducati Monster: New V2 Engine And Performance
The biggest change for 2026 is the new 890cc V2 engine, replacing the previous 937cc unit. This motor delivers 111 hp at 9,000 rpm and 91.1 Nm at 7,250 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Ducati has also revised the intake, cooling and exhaust system to reduce overall weight and improve throttle response. The V2 is Euro 5+ compliant and has been tuned for smoother low- and mid-range performance, making it more usable in urban and spirited riding scenarios. Ducati claims the powertrain is lighter and more compact than before, which also contributes to better weight distribution.
2026 Ducati Monster: Lighter Chassis And Revised Design
The 2026 Monster uses an updated aluminium front frame derived from the Panigale, helping the bike shed 4 kg compared to the outgoing version. The overall kerb weight now stands at 180 kg. Visually, it stays true to the Monster DNA with a muscular fuel tank, minimalist tail section and exposed trellis elements, but the silhouette has been sharpened. The ergonomics have been slightly revised with a wider handlebar and repositioned footpegs to improve rider comfort and control.
2026 Ducati Monster: Updated Features And Electronics
Ducati has retained its full electronics suite and added a few refinements. The 2026 Monster comes with cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, launch control and selectable ride modes. The bike also features a quickshifter as standard. The 5-inch TFT is there with updated graphics. LED lighting is standard across the range. Suspension duties are handled by 43 mm USD forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear, while braking comes from dual 320 mm discs with Brembo callipers up front.

2026 Ducati Monster: India Launch Timeline
Ducati is expected to introduce the new Monster in India by mid-2026. It will be brought in as a CBU and will sit alongside the current Ducati naked line-up. Pricing is expected to be positioned above the outgoing model, given the new engine and hardware upgrades. Once launched, it will compete with rivals like the Yamaha MT-09 and KTM 990 Duke.
