Ducati has officially teased the XDiavel V4 for the Indian market, signalling the arrival of its V4-powered power cruiser in the country. The teaser confirms Ducati India’s intent to expand its premium
motorcycle lineup, following recent launches based on the Granturismo V4 platform. While the company has not announced a launch date yet, bookings are now open. The XDiavel V4 will sit above the Diavel V4 and is positioned as a sportier, low-slung cruiser with a focus on performance, technology, and long-distance usability. Pricing, specifications, and availability details are expected to be revealed closer to launch.

What’s New With The Ducati XDiavel V4
The XDiavel V4 marks a significant shift for Ducati’s cruiser lineup. Unlike the earlier XDiavel models that used an L-twin engine, the new version is built around Ducati’s Granturismo V4 engine. This move aligns the XDiavel with Ducati’s latest big-bike architecture while retaining its cruiser-focused ergonomics, including a low seat height, forward-set footpegs, and a relaxed riding triangle.
Engine And Performance Specifications
Powering the Ducati XDiavel V4 is a 1,158cc V4 engine, which produces around 168 hp and 126 Nm of torque in global specification. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and benefits from cylinder deactivation technology to improve efficiency at low speeds. Ducati has also tuned the power delivery to suit cruiser-style riding, focusing on strong mid-range performance rather than outright top-end output.
Features And Electronics
The XDiavel V4 comes equipped with a comprehensive electronics package. Key features include multiple riding modes, traction control, wheelie control, cornering ABS, cruise control, and launch control. A full-colour TFT display serves as the command centre for rider information and settings. The motorcycle also gets electronically adjustable suspension and advanced braking hardware, aligning it with Ducati’s premium positioning.
Differences From The Diavel V4
While both motorcycles share the same engine platform, the XDiavel V4 differs significantly in ergonomics and styling. The XDiavel features a lower stance, belt drive instead of a chain, as well as a more cruiser-oriented seating position. These changes are aimed at riders looking for a blend of performance and relaxed touring capability, rather than the muscle-bike feel of the Diavel V4.
