Bajaj Auto reported total sales of over 4.77 lakh units in January 2026, registering a year-on-year growth of around 25 percent. The overall performance reflects combined domestic and export dispatches across motorcycles, scooters and three-wheelers. Growth during the month was supported by sustained demand in commuter motorcycles, stable mid-segment sales and a recovery in overseas markets. Compared to January 2025, both domestic and export channels contributed to the increase, indicating a balanced performance rather than reliance on a single market or product category.

Motorcycles Remain the Core Volume Driver
Motorcycles remained the largest contributor to Bajaj Auto’s January 2026 sales. Models such as Pulsar and Platina accounted
for a significant share of volumes across domestic and export markets. The Platina range continued to support sales in the entry-level commuter segment, which remains a volume-driven category in India. Meanwhile, the Pulsar portfolio contributed across the 125cc to 250cc segments, addressing demand from both urban buyers and international markets. Motorcycle exports remained a key pillar, with Africa, Latin America, and parts of Asia contributing to overseas growth.
Chetak Supports Scooter and EV Volumes
Scooter volumes were led by the Chetak, which continued to contribute to Bajaj Auto’s electric two-wheeler sales in January 2026. While scooters form a smaller share of the company’s overall portfolio compared to motorcycles, the Chetak added incremental volumes during the month. Demand was supported by expanding dealership reach and increasing adoption of electric scooters in urban markets. The model’s performance also reflects Bajaj Auto’s efforts to maintain a presence in the growing electric mobility segment alongside its core ICE business.
Domestic And Export Sales Breakdown
The total domestic sales were approximately 2.62 lakh units, while the two-wheeler domestic sales stood at around 2.15 lakh units. In terms of two-wheeler exports, the figure was about 1.92 lakh units. Both segments recorded year-on-year growth, with exports accounting for a substantial portion of total dispatches. The figures underline Bajaj Auto’s continued dependence on international markets for scale, particularly in motorcycles.
