After a successful run since 2021, Skoda India has now launched the next-generation model of its Kushaq mid-sized SUV in India. For its latest iteration, the carmaker has given the SUV a complete design
makeover and also a generous update to its feature list. Still based on the highly successful MQB-A0-IN platform, the 2026 Kushaq is now geared up to take on other rivals in the segment. Here's everything you need to know.
The new Kushaq gets a completely reworked front and rear design, which is highlighted by the new LED headlamps and the connected LED DRL strip that runs across the SUV's width. The front grille will remind you of the brand's bigger sedans and has been given a piano black finish and chrome accents. At the rear, the new Kushaq gets redesigned LED taillamps and a connected LED strip that features illuminated Skoda lettering in the centre. The design for the 17-inch alloy wheels has also been refreshed and is available in multiple finishes. The Kushaq even gets sequential indicators at the rear this time around.
On the inside, the 2026 Kushaq facelift has seen significant updates in terms of features. It gets a new 10.24-inch Digital Cockpit (driver information display) and a 10.7-inch infotainment touchscreen. The top-end variant now also offers a panoramic sunroof. Standard features across the new Kushaq lineup include automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, rear wiper, defogger and more.
The powertrain lineup for the new Kushaq has also been refreshed in terms of the transmission options that are now being offered. For the 2026 Kushaq, buyers will still get to choose between the 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engines, however, the manual gearbox has now been removed and instead, Skoda is now offering a new 8-speed torque converter automatic from the lower variants. The higher variants now get the option of the 8-speed automatic or the 7-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic gearbox that we have seen earlier.
