Hero MotoCorp is one of India’s most trusted two-wheeler brands and in the scooter segment, it has a variety, where it caters to very different types of riders. Two popular options from the brand in the 110cc category are the Hero Destini 110 and the Hero Xoom 110. While both scooters share the same engine, they cater to different types of riders. One focuses on comfort and mileage, while the other leans towards style and modern features. Lets have a look at the key difference between both.
Price
There is not much difference between the price of both the scooters. Hero Destini 110 starts at Rs 72,000 (ex-showroom) where as Hero Xoom 110 starts at Rs 72,351 (ex-showroom).
Engine
Both scooters are equipped with 110.9cc air-cooled, single-cylinder
engines and this produces around 8.1 PS of power and nearly 8.8 Nm of torque, which is paired with an automatic CVT gearbox. Both scooters are easy to ride and do not require gear shifting.
However, the way these scooters feel on the road is different, as the Hero Destini 110 is slightly heavier at 114 kg, which makes it feel stable and calm, especially at lower speeds. It is also tuned for smooth riding and fuel efficiency. On the other hand, the Hero Xoom 110, weighing 108 kg, feels lighter and quicker to respond which gives it a sportier and more playful riding experience.
Mileage
Mileage is an important factor for most Indian buyers to choose a vehicle and the Destini 110 scores well here with a claimed mileage of 56.26 kmpl, which makes it a great option for long daily commutes and family use. The Xoom 110, being sportier, offers slightly lower efficiency, as it has an ICAT-tested mileage of 53.4 kmpl. While still fuel-efficient, it prioritises driving fun over maximum savings.

Design and Features
Design is where the difference becomes very clear, as the Hero Destini 110 has a simple, neo-retro family scooter look. It feels traditional and practical, and features include a semi-digital instrument cluster, external fuel filler cap, LED projector headlamp and Hero’s i3S idle stop-start system, which saves fuel in traffic. The top variant even offers a small backrest for pillion comfort.
Whereas, the Hero Xoom 110 looks sharp and modern, as it targets younger riders with features like a fully digital display, USB charging port, LED projector headlamp and stylish H-shaped LED DRLs and tail-lamps. One standout feature is its cornering lights, which turn on while leaning into a corner, which improves visibility and safety.
Comfort, Safety and Ride Quality
Both scooters use telescopic front suspension and rear hydraulic units, which ensures decent comfort on city roads. The Destini’s softer setup and wider seat make it more comfortable for longer rides and family use. The Xoom feels firmer and more agile, which is better suited for quick city runs. Both the scooters come with CBS (Combined Braking System), but the Xoom offers a front disc brake option for better stopping power.
Both scooters deliver Hero’s trusted reliability, but the right choice depends on whether you value comfort and efficiency or style and technology.
