Ola Electric has hit another major milestone in India’s electric vehicle story as the company has officially begun delivering the S1 Pro+ (5.2kWh), which is the first electric scooter powered by its indigenously
developed 4680 Bharat Cell. This new technology promises better range, improved performance and higher safety and it is all made in India.
The scooter is priced at Rs 1,90,338, is more than just another EV on the road, but it is a symbol of India’s growing strength in electric mobility. With this model, Ola Electric becomes the first Indian company to design, develop and manufacture both battery cells and battery packs completely in-house, which is a huge achievement in a field often dominated by global players.

Our in-house cell technology enables us to build products with greater range, performance, and safety - all designed and made right here in India. The 4680 Bharat Cell is a symbol of India’s capability to lead the world in EV innovation, and this is just the beginning.”
The 4680 Bharat Cell recently earned ARAI certification under the latest AIS-156 Amendment 4 standards by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. When it comes to performance, the numbers are impressive. The 13 kW motor let the scooter go from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.1 seconds, while offering an IDC range of 320 km (with DIY mode). Riders can choose between four riding modes - Hyper, Sport, Normal and Eco, depending on their needs. For safety, it includes dual ABS and disc brakes on both wheels.
Design-wise, the scooter offers more comfort with a two-tone seat, die-cast aluminium grab handle and a bold new colour range including Passion Red, Porcelain White, Jet Black, Stellar Blue and more. The company’s growing EV lineup now includes the S1 scooters and Roadster X motorcycles, which caters to both mass-market and performance-oriented riders.
