TVS Motor Company and BMW Motorrad marked a major moment in their 12-year partnership today, confirming that the duo has now produced over two lakh motorcycles together. The milestone unit rolled out of TVS’s Hosur facility, underscoring how the Indo-German alliance has quietly grown into one of the most successful global collaborations in the sub-500cc segment.
What began in 2013 as a strategic engineering partnership has evolved into a programme that has delivered some of the most recognisable small-capacity BMWs worldwide, including the G 310 R, G 310 GS and the fully-faired G 310 RR. Along the way, both companies have expanded their roles, with TVS leading manufacturing for global markets and BMW feeding advanced engineering into shared platforms.
The result is a portfolio that has helped both brands reach new customers across continents.

Marking this latest milestone, TVS also announced that production of BMW’s all-new F 450 GS has begun at the same Hosur plant. The adventure bike represents the next stage of the partnership, built on a fresh platform that will eventually spawn more models. For TVS, the move strengthens its position as a global manufacturing hub. For BMW Motorrad, it adds scale and efficiency to a high-volume, high-potential segment.
Both companies say the focus now is on accelerating development for future models, particularly in areas such as connected tech, premium urban mobility and efficient new powertrains. Their joint R&D efforts continue to blend TVS’s manufacturing agility with BMW Motorrad’s engineering experience, a formula that has worked well for over a decade.
