The MG Windsor EV is already on sale in India with multiple variants, two battery options and a feature-heavy setup. What’s important is that it offers a mix of range, space and tech at a mid-range price point, making it relevant for both city users and those considering EVs for regular use. With prices starting around Rs 14.10 lakh and going up to about Rs 18.60 lakh (ex-showroom), the Windsor EV sits in a competitive bracket. Its combination of battery choices, ADAS tech and interior space defines how it positions itself against other electric cars in India.
Variants, Price And Battery Options
The MG Windsor EV is offered in multiple variants including Excite, Exclusive, Essence and Essence Pro. Prices start from around Rs 14.10 lakh and go up to approximately Rs 18.60 lakh (ex-showroom)
depending on the variant. The BaaS price starts at Rs 9.99 lakh + Rs 3.99/km.
There are two battery options. The standard variants use a 37.9 kWh battery with a claimed range of 331–332 km, while the Pro variants get a larger 52.9 kWh battery offering up to 449 km range. The electric motor produces around 134 bhp and 200 Nm of torque across variants. Charging options include AC charging taking about 9.5 hours for a full charge and DC fast charging that can go from 0 to 80 percent in roughly 50 minutes.
Exterior, Interior And Feature Highlights
On the outside, the Windsor EV follows a clean EV design with LED lighting and a closed grille. The focus is more on practicality than aggressive styling. Inside, the cabin is built around large screens and comfort-focused seating.
Depending on the variant, features include a 10.1-inch or larger 15.6-inch touchscreen, digital driver display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and connected car tech.
Higher variants add a panoramic glass roof, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting and a premium sound system. Rear seats get a 135-degree recline function, which is a key comfort feature for long drives.
Boot space stands at around 579 litres, which is relatively high for this segment. The car also offers multiple drive modes such as Eco, Normal and Sport along with regenerative braking settings.

Safety, ADAS And Ownership Details
Safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC) and a reinforced structure. Higher variants also get a 360-degree camera and parking assistance features. The Windsor EV also offers Level 2 ADAS in top variants, adding features like lane assist and collision-related alerts. Ground clearance is rated at 186 mm which is suitable for Indian road conditions.
What stands out here is how the Windsor EV is structured. It offers two clear battery choices, a wide feature spread across variants and a focus on comfort. For buyers, the decision largely depends on whether range or upfront cost is the priority, since both options are available within the same model line.
