Seeing even one Rolls-Royce Phantom on the road is a rare moment, but Indian industrialist and iconic classic car collector Yohan Poonawalla will showcase seven historic Rolls-Royce Phantoms at a single global event, creating a landmark moment in the world of vintage automobiles.
This special showcase will be part of the legendary 1000 Miglia Experience UAE, which is one of the most exclusive and respected classic car rallies in the world. The event is famous not only for its competition but also for its celebration of automotive heritage, design and craftsmanship. Often called “the most beautiful race in the world,” the 1000 Miglia blends adventure with elegance as classic cars glide through scenic open roads.
The year 2025 marks 100 years of
the Rolls-Royce Phantom which is a car series known for luxury, royal ownership and unmatched craftsmanship. To celebrate this centenary, a special “Phantom Centenary Exhibition” has been curated. And at the core of this celebration is Yohan Poonawalla’s extraordinary collection.
Here are the seven Phantoms he is showcasing:
- 1928 Rolls-Royce Phantom I (17 EX) - Ex-Maharaja of Kashmir
- 1933 Rolls-Royce Phantom II - Owned by Sir Captain Malcolm Campbell, world land-speed record holder

Five of these priceless cars will be part of the museum-style exhibit, while two which are the Phantom VI of Queen Elizabeth II and the 2005 Phantom VII will actually participate in the rally, driving through picturesque routes across the UAE.
Hosted by Octanium Experiences in partnership with 1000 Miglia Srl Italy, this year’s rally brings together 120 elite teams from around the world. They will drive alongside some of the most iconic cars ever built in the world, including the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR that Sir Stirling Moss drove to victory in the historic Mille Miglia.
With this incredible lineup, Yohan Poonawalla becomes the first collector anywhere in the world to present seven Rolls-Royce Phantoms at one event. It not only highlights India’s growing presence in the global classic car community but also shows the passion and dedication behind preserving automotive history.
