Kia has revised the prices of the Carens MPV by up to Rs 2,000. Though the increase looks modest, it comes amid a fuel price hike, where many buyers are already struggling to save on monthly bills. Moreover, the move syncs with several automakers that are adjusting prices to offset rising input and operational costs. The Carens is a popular people mover from Kia, and continues to garner attention even with the arrival of the more premium and feature-packed Carens Clavis. Given the latest price hike, prospective buyers will need to pay a little extra across all available variants of the MPV.
Kia Carens Price Hike: What Has Changed?
The Kia Carens is currently available in a single trim level called Premium (O). However, you can choose from three powertrain options while buying the Kia MPV.
These include the 1.5-litre Petrol MT 7-Seater, 1.5-litre Diesel MT 7-Seater, and 1.5-litre Petrol CNG 7-Seater versions.
As part of the most recent price hike, buyers will experience a uniform price hike of Rs 2,000 across all three variants. The price increase is relatively small compared to competitors, but it means the entry point into the Carens is now slightly higher than before.
Following the price hike, the Carens is priced between Rs 11.02 lakh and Rs 12.88 lakh (ex-showroom). Despite the increase, the MPV remains one of the more affordable options in the three-row segment.
Kia Carens Price Hike: Model-Wise Prices
The 1.5 Petrol MT Premium (O) 7-Seater now starts at Rs 11.02 lakh (ex-showroom), while the 1.5 Diesel Premium (O) MT 7-Seater commands a higher price of Rs 12.88 lakh due to its oil-burning powertrain. Before the June 2026 price hike of Rs 2,000, the Kia Carens range was priced from Rs 11.00 lakh to Rs 12.86 lakh (ex-showroom). The cost of the factory-fitted 1.5 Petrol CNG 7-Seater has also seen a similar hike of Rs 2,000.

Carens Future, Model Lineup And Buyer Relevance
The launch of the Carens Clavis has changed the brand's MPV strategy in India. Positioned above the standard Carens, the Clavis is for those buyers in India who want a more premium experience with more features, high technology, and unique styling. That said, the continued availability of the regular Carens suggests Kia still sees demand for a simpler and more affordable three-row MPV. It is believed the model will remain as a preferred option for commercial operators, fleet owners, and large families seeking a practical people mover with lower acquisition costs. With petrol, diesel, and CNG options still on offer, the Carens will always be relevant for buyers prioritising space, versatility, and running-cost flexibility, though the new Carens Clavis takes centre stage in the range.
