Honda was the top-selling two-wheeler brand globally in 2025. According to the two-wheeler sales rankings of the last year, the Japanese manufacturer sold 20.2 million two-wheelers across the globe. It was accompanied by the Indian giant Hero MotoCorp, which posted sales of 5.9 million two-wheelers. Meanwhile, the fellow Indian manufacturer TVS also featured its name among the top five best-sellers. Here's a look at the top 5 brands that sold the highest number of two-wheelers last year.
Honda (20.2 Million Units)
Honda maintained its strong dominance in the global two-wheeler industry with an extensive assortment of motorcycles and scooters sold across Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas.
Hero MotoCorp (5.9 Million Units)
Hero MotoCorp was the second-largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the world, with
5.9 million units sold. The Indian brand, as evidenced in its sales, also generates strong demand in the domestic commuter motorcycle segment. It recently introduced Flex Fuel versions of the Splendor and HF Deluxe, in India. Besides this, the brand is also steadily expanding its international footprint through exports.
Yamaha (4.8 Million Units)
Yamaha emerged as the third top-selling brand after recording sales of 4.8 million two-wheelers globally. The company enjoys a strong presence in both premium motorcycles and scooters, with popular products spanning commuter, performance and lifestyle segments.
Yadea (4.5 Million Units)
Chinese manufacturer Yadea claimed fourth position with 4.5 million units sold. The brand has a primary focus on electric scooters and electric two-wheelers, and contributes to the rapid growth of the global EV market.
TVS Motor Company (3.7 Million Units)
TVS Motor was the fifth best-selling two-wheeler brand with 3.7 million units sold worldwide. The Indian manufacturer has witnessed consistent growth through its commuter motorcycles, scooters, premium offerings and expanding electric vehicle portfolio.
Indian Brands Feature Among Global Leaders
One of the biggest highlights of the global two-wheeler sales rankings 2025 is the presence of two Indian manufacturers in the top five, and four in the overall top 20. While Hero MotoCorp secured second place, TVS Motor finished fifth. That said, a range of brands outside the top five continue to remain significant players are Bajaj Auto, Suzuki, Italika, Zongshen, and Royal Enfield.
