Harley-Davidson X440 price has been revised starting this month, with increases of Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000 across all three variants. The X440 Vivid now starts at Rs 2.36 lakh, the S is at Rs 2.59 lakh and the T moves to Rs 2.84 lakh — all ex-showroom. No mechanical or feature changes accompany the revision. This is the X440 T's first price increase since it launched in December 2025. At these new price points, the X440 range sits noticeably above several direct rivals, which makes the buying decision harder to navigate than it was six months ago.
New Prices Variant by Variant
All three variants run the same 440cc single-cylinder air-and-oil-cooled engine — 27 hp, 38 Nm, 6-speed gearbox. The engine doesn't change between Vivid, S and T. What changes is the equipment level and now
the price.
The Vivid absorbs the smallest increase — Rs 1,000 — landing at Rs 2.36 lakh (ex-showroom). It's the base entry point with no electronics package. The S goes up Rs 4,000 to Rs 2.59 lakh (ex-showroom), sitting Rs 23,000 above the Vivid for a modest feature step-up. The T takes the biggest hit at Rs 5,000 more, now at Rs 2.84 lakh (ex-showroom). The T does earn its premium over the other two — ride-by-wire, two riding modes, switchable traction control, switchable rear ABS, a redesigned rear subframe, revised tail section as well as reworked grab rails. These are actual differences, not cosmetic ones.
Where This Leaves the X440 Against Its Competition
This is where the price hike bites. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 range runs from Rs 1.86 lakh to Rs 2.21 lakh. The Honda CB350RS starts at Rs 1.98 lakh. The Triumph Speed 400 is at Rs 2.37 lakh and the Tracker 400 at Rs 2.53 lakh — both now priced below the X440 S and T after this revision. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures.
The X440 T at Rs 2.84 lakh is the toughest to position. It has switchable traction control and ABS — neither the Royal Enfield 350-class bikes nor the Triumph 400s offer that. The Harley-Davidson badge carries weight with a specific buyer profile. But at Rs 47,000 above a Triumph Tracker 400 and nearly Rs 63,000 above the Classic 350's top variant, those differences need to matter enough to close that gap. For someone already decided on the X440 T, Rs 5,000 more won't shift the decision. For someone genuinely comparing this against a Triumph or a top-spec Classic 350, this hike makes that comparison a little more uncomfortable to resolve in the X440's favour.
