Mahindra is set to unveil the new XUV 7XO in India on January 5, 2026, marking the refreshed version of the XUV700 SUV with a revised name and updated tech and design elements. Pre-bookings for the XUV 7XO opened recently with a token amount of around Rs 21,000, and deliveries are expected to begin soon after launch. Booking And Launch Timeline
With an official debut date set for January 5, 2026, and pre-bookings underway, Mahindra aims to roll out the XUV 7XO shortly
after its unveiling. Pricing and full variant details are expected at launch.
Design Updates
The XUV 7XO features styling revisions over the outgoing XUV700. Teasers and reports indicate a redesigned front fascia with updated LED headlights, refreshed grille and bumpers, and new alloy wheels. These changes aim to give the SUV a more modern look without straying far from the original silhouette. While Mahindra has not released full details yet, the evolutionary design suggests a focus on refined aesthetics.
Cabin And Tech
One of the headline changes for the XUV 7XO is its triple-screen dashboard layout. Mahindra has confirmed that the cabin will feature three integrated displays, likely a digital instrument cluster, central infotainment screen and a passenger-facing screen, which will bring the SUV’s tech content in line with contemporary expectations. Other confirmed interior updates include advanced seating adjustments like “Boss Mode” for co-driver seat control from the rear.
Powertrain Options
The new XUV 7XO will most likely continue with the powertrain options familiar from the XUV700. Buyers can expect both petrol and diesel engines, with petrol displacements around 2.0 litres and diesel around 2.2 litres. These engines are paired with manual and automatic transmissions. Performance figures are anticipated to include around 185hp and 450Nm of torque in key variants, and all-wheel-drive will be available on select models.

Features, Comfort, And Seating Options
Beyond the screens and updated styling, the anticipated features include ventilated seats (front and rear), panoramic sunroof, advanced driver-assistance systems, as well as enhanced infotainment options. These features indicate a push toward greater comfort and convenience in the SUV’s segment.
The Mahindra XUV 7XO might offer 6- and 7-seat configurations, maintaining the flexible seating arrangements of its predecessor.
