Maruti Suzuki has announced major price cuts across its lineup after the announcement of the new GST 2.0 regime. Popular models like the Brezza, Swift and Alto are now significantly cheaper, with reductions of up to Rs 1.29 lakh depending on the variant. New prices will come into effect starting September 22, 2025.
Under GST 2.0, cars under four metres in length with petrol engines up to 1,200 cc and diesel engines up to 1,500 cc have moved from the earlier 28 percent tax slab to a lower 18 percent slab. Larger cars and SUVs have been placed in a 40 percent slab, down from the previous 45–50 percent range. This shift has allowed Maruti Suzuki to pass on the benefits to customers across nearly its entire portfolio.
