Kia India has made history this festive season by recording its highest-ever monthly sales since entering the Indian market, selling 29,556 units in October 2025. This achievement marks a strong 30% year-on-year
growth compared to the 22,735 units sold in October last year.
The festive months have always been crucial for car sales in India, and this year, Kia has won the show, as the company’s compact SUV, the Sonet, led the charge with 12,745 units sold, which is its best-ever monthly performance since launch. This compact SUC is known for its bold looks, feature-rich interior and efficient engine. The Sonet continues to be a favorite among young urban buyers.
Following closely is the Carens Clavis and its electric sibling, the Carens Clavis EV, which together contributed 8,779 units to the success. The Carens Clavis EV, which is Kia’s first made-in-India, 7-seater mass-premium electric vehicle has drawn strong attention for combining practicality, performance and eco-friendly mobility, showing that Indian families are ready to adopt electric SUVs.

Meanwhile, the Kia Seltos, which is the company’s flagship SUV, maintained steady demand with 7,130 units, proving its continued appeal among mid-size SUV buyers who appreciate comfort and style.
Atul Sood, Senior Vice-President and National Head, Sales and Marketing at Kia India, said, “October 2025 marks a historic milestone in Kia India’s journey. This is a testament to the trust of millions of customers who believe in Kia’s promise of innovation and progress. The growing contribution of our EV range further validates our direction toward sustainable mobility for India.”
Kia’s total year-to-date (YTD) sales now stand at 2,36,138 units in 2025, compared to 2,15,443 units during the same period last year, which is a 10% increase overall. The brand’s success this year has been powered by new product launches, strong EV adoption and favorable market conditions following recent GST reforms that made buying cars more affordable.
Kia continues to expand into Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets, supported by local manufacturing and an expanding dealer network. Its focus on technology, safety and digital experiences is helping it connect with India’s new generation of car buyers like the people who want modern, connected and stylish cars that fit their lifestyle.
With record-breaking sales and growing EV acceptance, October 2025 marks a milestone for Kia India. The brand has proved that a balanced mix of innovation, design and local understanding can drive powerful results.
