The Honda ZR-V will make its debut in India today, following a lot of buzz and anticipation. The hybrid SUV, which is already on sale in several international markets, is expected to arrive here as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). Therefore, interested buyers may have to shell out more money if they intend to purchase it. It is speculated that Honda could launch of the ZR-V in limited numbers to gauge market response. In addition, Honda will announce prices for the updated Honda City Facelift. With these two new car launches, the Japanese carmaker will aim to strengthen its position in fast-paced auto industry of India.
Honda ZR-V: Here's How Much It May Cost
TheZR-V SUV is likely to make it to the Indian market through the CBU route, which suggest that its prices can be higher than
the locally assembled rivals. Buyers can expect the base model to start from around Rs 32 lakh (ex-showroom). The higher-end trim could fetch nearly up to Rs 38-40 lakh.
The aforementioned price positing will make the ZR-V stand as an alternative to the Toyota Fortuner, Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass and select variants of the BYD Atto 3. It will attribute to the SUV’s imported image and the hybrid powertrain it carries globally. If demand remains consistent, Honda may later evaluate local assembly, which would help in bringing costs down.
Honda ZR-V: Expected Engine, Features and Design
Honda offers the ZR-V in the international market with a trusted e:HEV strong hybrid system. In, the SUV is expected to use a 2.0-litre petrol engine and dual electric motors. In terms of features, the SUV could get dual-zone climate control, a large touchscreen infotainment system, powered front seats, a fully digital instrument cluster, wireless smartphone connectivity, and a panoramic sunroof. It is also likely to feature ADAS with functions such as autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring. and lane keep assist.

As for the design, the ZR-V will maintain its globally-acclaimed sleek urban look, with elements such as sharp LED headlamps, sporty alloy wheels, and a wide grille. The coupe-inspired rear will add to the sharper styling.
