Tata Motors is all set to launch the 2026 Tata Tiago tomorrow, May 28. Prices will be announced at the launch event and are expected to open slightly above the outgoing model's Rs 4.60 lakh (ex-showroom) starting point. The update is bigger than the word facelift suggests. The exterior is fully redesigned, the dashboard is new, and the feature list adds a 360-degree camera, dual wireless chargers, rear AC vents and paddle shifters on the CNG AMT — none of which the current Tiago has. The engine options will likely stay the same. The Tiago EV also gets its updated pricing on the same day.
Outside And Inside — Everything That Has Been Shown
The front end of the new Tata Tiago is quite different compared to the current car. Sleeker LED headlamps with eyebrow-shaped DRLs, a black grille, black lower
bumper, pixel-shaped LED fog lamps and a camera pod for the 360-degree system. The ORVMs have camera pods built in. New alloy designs and black wheel arch cladding on the sides. At the back, connected LED taillamps replace the older separate units and the rear bumper gets a larger black section.
Inside, the biggest change is the dashboard — fully redesigned around a horizontal line running the full width of the cabin, which also splits the two-tone interior. The instrument cluster is now fully digital and free-standing. The old analogue dials are gone. The infotainment screen is a similar size to the current car. The steering wheel is a revised two-spoke design with an illuminated Tata logo. The gear lever has been replaced by a rotary dial on the centre console. Paddle shifters showed up in Tata's teaser video, confirmed for the automatic variants. Rear passengers get USB Type-C ports and rear AC vents — neither of which the current Tiago offers. The upholstery is dual-tone fabric throughout.

New Features, What Stays, And The Variant Worth Watching
Three additions stand out on the 2026 Tiago:
The 360-degree camera is new. The current Tiago does not have it on any variant. Dual wireless charging trays up front are also new — the current model has no wireless charging at all. Paddle shifters on the CNG AMT are a first for a CNG hatchback in this segment.
What does not change: the 1.2-litre petrol engine and CNG powertrain both carry over. Manual and AMT gearbox options continue on both fuel types. The 6-speaker sound system, which Tata quietly removed in the MY25 update, is expected to return.
On pricing, the outgoing range carried an ex-showroom starting tag of Rs 4.60 lakh. Tomorrow's announcement will confirm how much the new features add to that. The variant to track is the CNG AMT — it is already the only CNG automatic hatchback in this space, and with paddle shifters now added, it will be the most feature-loaded CNG option under Rs 9 lakh in India. If it lands within Rs 50,000 of where the current CNG AMT sits, it is a straightforward choice for anyone already in the market for one.
